Shortly About Our History
In 1987 Centurion Academy was established to cater for the need of learners require English medium education. It first opened its doors in October 1987 as Centurion Academy. It was at St Albans west gate under the Principalship of Mr K.G Fisher. Later that year the school moved to King George Street then later it then moved to 52 Leyds Street in Joubert Park.

Rugby
Rugby is a proud tradition at Centurion College. It builds discipline, mental toughness, and camaraderie. Through structured practices and regular matches, students learn the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and strategic play.
Soccer
Soccer is one of the most popular sports at our school, with strong participation from both boys and girls. Training emphasizes skill development, ball control, tactical thinking, and good sportsmanship.
Netball
Our netball program focuses on developing agility, coordination, and communication skills. With regular training and competitive matches, students sharpen their techniques and learn to work cohesively as a team on and off the court.
Athletics
Centurion College offers a comprehensive athletics program that includes sprinting, long-distance running, high jump, long jump, shot put, and more. Athletics training builds strength, speed, and confidence
Cross Country
Cross country running challenges students to push their limits over varied terrain. It builds endurance, mental resilience, and focus. Students participate in both training runs and organized meets, learning to compete with integrity and determination.
Cricket
Cricket at Centurion College teaches patience, strategy, and teamwork. Students receive focused coaching in batting, bowling, and fielding techniques, with opportunities to participate in friendly and competitive matches.

The school is 37 years old this year and is still running smoothly as we continue to strive for the best.
We presently have over 800 learners ranging from Grades 1 to 12 and employee 50 personnel; which includes Educators, Administrative, Security and Support Staff.
We also have a Feeding Scheme which is sponsored by MES and caters for the entire school.
Our matric results improve yearly. We have maintained a strong pass record between 97% and 100% for the last five years, typically earning bachelor's and diplomas.
